Christmas and birthday gift donations for children in need

Donating instead of gifting

Especially at Christmas, we want to give our loved ones something
special. Yet often, gifts lie unused in a corner while elsewhere the bare essentials are missing. With your Christmas donation, you give twice:

A meaningful gift
Your donation saves children’s lives and gives families hope – a gift that has an impact far beyond the holiday season.

Joy that carries forward
With your donation, you make several people happy at once: the sick child, the gift recipient – and yourself, through the good feeling of having made a difference.

Donate now!

With your donation, you give sick children like premature baby Amina hope and a future.

With just 20 euros, we can provide an emergency kit with antibiotics and painkillers for a sick child.

50 euros help to secure medical care for a premature baby for one week.

100 euros enable a hospital birth, including medical care and follow-up for mother and child.

Amina

The girl was born three months premature and weighed just 754 grams – a life-threatening start for the little child. Without rapid and qualified medical help, she would have had little chance of survival. A dedicated, well-trained team at the perinatal center in Barentu provided Amina with intensive medical care in her first few weeks – and so the little fighter made it.

In recent years, we have been able to establish three perinatal centers and a neonatal department in Eritrea, which now provide life-saving intensive care for premature babies. Through ongoing training and qualification of local specialists, we have been able to significantly reduce the mortality rate.

Give sick children hope and a future

Eritrea is one of the poorest countries in the world. Medical care is critical:
There is a lack of specialist staff, equipment, medication, and consumables.

The mortality rate for newborns and premature babies in Eritrea is significantly higher than in Germany. Especially in rural areas such as Mendefera and Barentu, the need for medical aid remains very high.

We would be happy to provide you with materials such as flyers or a donation box.
Thank you very much for your support!
