ARCHEMED is embarking on a new journey with a new name, a new logo, and new premises. The aid organization is repositioning itself, as its projects have grown steadily in recent years, along with the responsibilities they entail. To meet this development, several steps have been taken: an adapted name, a modernized logo, and the relocation of the headquarters to Soest at the end of the year. Going forward, the organization will operate under the name “ARCHEMED – Medical Aid for Children in Need.”

These changes represent progress and development while staying true to the organization’s roots. They lay the foundation for making future work even more effective and sustainable—in support of children who urgently need medical assistance.

In line with this, the new edition of the newsletter ON COURSE has been published. It reports on key milestones of the projects: the opening of the newly renovated neonatology unit at Orotta Hospital, as well as the upcoming commissioning of the renovated Burn Unit at Halibet Hospital. The Bhutan project is also gaining momentum: after a four-week deployment on site, the Berlin team was pleased to welcome their Asian counterparts for a return visit.
